Born in 1886
Great-grandfather Francesco was born in Pachino in the late 1800s, and already in the early 1900s he was passionately involved in the trade of Pachino wine.

Corrado was known for his deep sensitivity and gentle eyes. He developed a strong and lasting bond with his family roots.

Born in 1969
The current owner, Vincenzo Assennato, together with his wife Lucia, runs the estate, keeping tradition alive while embracing innovation. Their shared dream: to live the countryside fully — 24 hours a day — with their children, grandchildren, chickens, and goats.

In recent years, the Assennato family has grown its production and expanded its range of activities. In Contrada Nicolella, Avola, alongside cultivating the renowned Nero d’Avola grape variety, the family also manages olive groves—specializing in the “Biancolella” and “Pizzuta” cultivars—and almond orchards of the “Avola” variety. The goal is to preserve their uniqueness and ensure they are appreciated by our loyal customers.
